An arsonist probably set most of the wildfires scorching central Florida, officials said Tuesday.

Five weeks without any substantial rain has raised the wildfire danger in Polk County.

Some quick thinking by four police officers led to the rescue of a disabled man from a burning house, a police spokesman said.
